  1. My friend did a study abroad for fashion design in London her last semester of school... Let's just say she owes $60,000 in debt from school and half of that was from her trip to London. On the other hand, I'm working on traveling to Ghana for sociology and that that will only cost me around $7,000.
  2. There are no free study abroad programs. You are attending university just like you would in America. Each program varies in cost, so if you wanted to study in Paris, you could find several options in price ranges. I was in Greece last semester, where the tuition was about $15,000, only about 1/3 of my tuition here in the US, but with all the traveling I did while I was there, I spent about $8,000 in addition to tuition and food.
