Should I go into more debt to study abroad in Singapore?

I am UC Berkeley Political Science major and I have taken out about 14,000 in student loans and I got into a summer program at the National University of Singapore and its a about 5 week program. I have calculated the total trip to be about 3,000 dollars. After this summer I will have 1 year left. Do you think that it would be worth it? Or should I just sit this one out and do something after I graduate? Further note, not eligible for financial aid.

  1. I think it's very worth it. Studying abroad is a great opportunity to immerse yourself into a different culture without worrying about your next travel plans. Usually when you travel, you are only there to see the sites, and then you are on your merry way to the next place without ever having experience the natives. Definitely go. It's a great opportunity. You'll regret if you don't! Study abroad also looks great on resumes!
  2. It's always worth it to get exposed to other cultures. Go, but ONLY if you're confident that it won't put too much financial burden on your shoulder.
